School groups, including home-schoolers, are admitted without charge if arrangements have been made in advance.  Contact Patti Clough at (316)210-7380 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)  Those registered in advance attend a 30-minute rock/mineral identification class.  This is a hands-on experience using different means of testing actual specimens.  Students inspect exhibits, including displays of vendors.  Grab bags with 10 specimens and a stone necklace are available for $1.50, and digging in the rock pile for a bag of “prize finds” is $.50.
