A retired homeschooling mom of seven-teen years and a current homeschooling mom are volunteering at the Wichita Public Library stocking three shelves of interest to the homeschooling community at the Friends Used
Bookstore.
The bookstore is located at the main branch, first floor, 223 S. Main. The shelves are stocked weekly and contain homeschooling how-to books, classic literature, curriculum, readers, and more.
Books are priced as low as twenty-five cents.
The proceeds from all book sales benefit the Wichita Public Library.
The Kansas Cosmosphere is introducing new homeschool field trips for 2012!
The Sedgwick County District Courthouse is available for tours. Children must be 12 years old or older (no exceptions) and groups are limited to 12 people. If you are interested in scheduling a tour please contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
All ages are welcome! Guided tours are available for groups of twelve or more students, and smaller groups may enjoy our self-guided Scavenger Hunt.

Butler Community College to Host the Annual Butler County Spelling Bee - The Annual Sunflower Spelling Bee will take place March 2, 2013. The Bee will be hosted by The Hays Daily News . The winner of the Sunflower Spelling Bee will represent our area in the 2013 Scripps National Spelling Bee.
We believe strongly that this is an extra-curricular activity in which home schooled children can find enjoyment, enrichment, and success.
