2009 Homeschool Graduation Information
Its that time of year again to begin planning for graduation. The following are important dates for the 2009 graduation, (All meetings conducted at Central Christian Church unless otherwise specified):
• Friday, October 3, 2008 – Initial Informational Meeting 7:00 PM
• November 13, 2008 – Student Presentation Auditions 6:30 PM
• January 23, 2009 – Informational Meeting for ALL interested families and DEADLINE to participate 7:00 PM
• February 11, 2009 – All fees to participate in graduation are due, Senior Wallet Size Pictures Due, Bios for Program Booklet Due
• May 7, 2009 – All graduate rehearsal MANDATORY 7:00 PM
• May 9, 2009 – Graduation 1:00 PM

2009 Convention - May 29-30!
The 2009 TPA Convention Committee is hard at work planning the convention. Our keynote speaker will be Chris Klicka. Please check back for more information as we finalize our plans. Our main objective is that the 2009 convention weekend will be a blessing to all those who attend!
TPA Library Opens its doors for the 2008-09 School Year!
The Welcome Mat is out at the TPA library! We are very excited to announce that the TPA library will now be offering Homeschooling advice, tips, and direction during our library hours. Come check out what the TPA Library has to offer! Open every Wednesday Noon-3pm Beginning SEPT 3rd! (Closed 11/26, 12/17,12/24,12/31) The library is located in the lower level of Westlink Christian Church. Ask at information desk for directions. If you would like homeschooling help during this time, please us ahead of time and let us know. This way we will be better prepared to help you.
Nutcracker Ballet
Nutcracker Ballet Student Matinee’s Friday Dec 12th 1PM tickets $7 ea. Please mail checks made out to Ballet Wichita to Maxx Fairbanks PO Box 9152, Wichita KS 67277 by Nov.15th for best seating. Please attach a sheet with your group name, address, contact person, phone number, and the total number of tickets needed. Ask to be seated with the homeschool group, as the larger the group, the better the seating. Please call Lisa Phillips about meeting times and parking directions @ (316)371-8963.
TPA USED BOOK SALE
Mark your calendars now for the TPA Used Book Sale May 16, 2009, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Sedgwick County Extension Education Center, 7001 W. 21st Street in Wichita. Twice the space as last year! Twice the sellers as last year! Sign up to be a seller so you can earn a little money for your curriculum for next year, or plan to come and shop the great sale prices for used curriculum!
